Why study with us?

English in Newcastle is the only school in the North East of England that offers 1 to 1 classes for a good price. Lessons are at your place, in a public place such as the library or park, or at the teacher’s place.

If you study with us you will save money. With 1 to 1 classes you have to wait about 15 hours before you can get to the next language level. For example, if you are intermediate and you want to get to upper-intermediate it will take about 15 hours 1 to 1 study (on average). You can do 15 hours in 1 week or 2 weeks. At a language school in a group you will take 50 or 60 hours to get to the same level, it may take 1 or 2 months to get to that level, all that time and money spent on lessons in a group! 1 to 1 classes cost more per hour but you get much more benefit from them so you don’t need to buy so many hours.

If you study 1 to 1 lessons with us you can go from no knowledge of English to Upper-intermediate level (very good conversational ability) in around 60 hours. To get the same results at a normal language school in a group may take 160 to 170 hours or more. If you try to teach yourself it may take even longer! Some people study for years and never get to this level.
